Competing in the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship will be Thomas Kjer Olsen and Jed Beaton. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing will field three riders in 2020, racing on FC 250 machinery. Overseeing the operational, sporting and developmental aspects of the team, while actively assisting with the professional development of all team riders, former racer and rider coach Rasmus Jorgensen has been appointed as team manager. Owned by Kay Hennekens, Nestaan-MX have been involved in Motocross World Championship competition for many years and will operate from a new workshop in Lommel, Belgium. Based in Belgium, the team become Husqvarna’s officially supported MX2 representatives in the FIM Motocross World Championship. Husqvarna Motorcycles are pleased to confirm the signing of a multi-year agreement with Nestaan-MX, who will manage and run the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing MX2 team from 2020 onwards. The riders will line up at an international event at Lacapelle Marival in France next weekend. Both riders narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth and fifth respectively. Despite a mistake during the race, Kay held his own in the illustrious company to finish seventh. He rode consistently, and fended off all attacks to finish second. Nonetheless, he held it steady to finish seventh.īoth riders started well in the second race, and Jed soon slotted into second spot. Jed had a worse start, and battled to find a smooth rhythm. It was a battle for survival in the atrocious conditions, but De Wolf held onto a top three position for the majority of the race, only dropping to fourth near the end. De Wolf launched well in race one, and formed part of the leading group going into the first corner. Kay de Wolf acquitted himself well on debut in the MX2 class and posted the sixth fastest time, with his teammate Jed Beaton a spot behind.ĭespite worsening conditions, the racing program continued. Jed Beaton and Kay de Wolf finished fourth – and fifth overall respectively in a hotly-contested MX2 class.Ī heavy storm travelled over the track in the morning, and the downpour turned the race surface into a muddy mess.
